I do random electrical work, and a lot of electrical and mechanical work with cars and motorcycles, stereo installs, whatever comes up, etc. I haven't used cheap electrical tape for at least 12 years since I first found how much better the higher quality tapes are.

I now only use scotch 33+ tape, or the Scotch 88 if I need a thicker tape (I usually use the 88 on my motorcycle and auto work since it's thicker and more protective against both moisture and heat/cold.)

When wrapped correctly I've never had it come off, it's simply excellent.

Brother TN330 Tape Trick - How to Pull It Off and Terminate Toner Low Prompts?

The Brother TN330 toner cartridge depends on its reset mechanism to deliver the allowable number of printed pages. Once the rated number of pages has been breached - 1,500 pages at 5% page coverage in the case of the Brother TN330, the reset gear automatically shuts down the printer. However, before toner is totally used-up, an optical sensor is programmed to deliver blinking lights on the control panel. This should alert the user of a low toner status and the need to replace the brother toner cartridge as soon as possible.

In most instances however, the amount of toner that lingers inside the cartridge's toner chamber (after the toner low lights are flashed) is still adequate for a few hundred prints. What actually happened in this case is that the optical sensor failed to provide the user with an accurate reading of residual toner supply. Remember that the sensor works by projecting a light beam through the brother toner cartridge window to connect to a photo-activated device across the cartridge. Once toner supply is depleted, the sensor activates and the low toner message is prompted.

Overriding the Toner Low Prompt. Toner is not liquid that seeks its own level, so toner supply could not be expected to be physically level all throughout. Some particles might be clumped on one side of the toner chamber while possibly empty on the other end that is near the optical sensor.

In that case, the user is advised to pull out the brother toner cartridge from the printer and moderately shake it to redistribute toner inside the cartridge evenly. This trick usually works, but it becomes inconvenient for the user to perform this process each time the low toner message is prompted. The brother tn330 tape trick should help resolve this inconvenience.

Carrying Out the Brother TN330 Tape Trick. The objective of the tape method is to put a constant barrier on the cartridge window that would prevent the light beam from activating the toner low sensor. So just how do you block the optical sensor's light beam and continue printing? The simple process is outlined below.

Pull out the brother toner cartridge from the laser printer and locate the circular clear window found on the side of the cartridge.

Cut a piece of black electrical tape and cover the cartridge window.

By covering the cartridge window, the light beam always touches base with the covered electrical tape and the printer will assume that the cartridge is still full of toner.

Printing can now commence until such time that print quality deteriorates, which is an indication that toner is finally used up and it is time to replace the cartridge with a compatible toner cartridge for brother-tn330 or refill the toner cartridge with toner refill kit. Also note not to wait for the reset gear to shut down the printer as cartridge damage is imminent should the latter totally run out of toner.

Remember that when the low toner blinking light is on, the user can override it completely to enjoy uninterrupted printing by simply carrying out the brother tn330 tape trick.

www.etrailer.comVideos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information. Today on this 2007 Toyota RAV4 we will be installing the wiring harness part number 118412. We are inside the rear cargo area of the RAV4. The ports that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into are located behind the interior panels of the vehicle directly behind the tail lights. That is going to be the same on both sides of the vehicle. We are going to need to remove a few things to gain access to those ports. First off being the middle threshold piece because we are going to be routing wires from one side to the other. Lets go ahead and start uninstalling the interior of the vehicle. We will also need to remove the rear section of the interior panel, there are clips here that we are going to need to release to open that up, there are also a couple of screws. With the cargo door removed as well just look right back here again just right behind the tail light you can see the port that we are going to be plugging our harness into. We just want to disconnect those two pieces and we will plug our harness in line. 01:03

When it comes to duct tape this is one of the most versatile types of adhesive tape you can purchase to use in the home today. Some people use it for keeping floor rugs in place, others to repair hoses or upholstery. Whilst other people use it for repairing cracked windows until they get the glass replaced or to make repairs to the binding of a book. Another use of duct tape is to keep the batteries in place in a remote control device whether the cover has been damaged or lost.

Different Types of Adhesive Tape and What it is Used For

The next type of adhesive tape that you should have a supply of in the home is electrical tape. Although it should only ever be used for when installing new electrical items like lights or ceiling fans it has other uses as well. If you find you need some wire nuts and don't have any readily available then you can use this type of tape instead.

Different Types of Adhesive Tape and What it is Used For

No URL

Another way in which electrical tape can be used is for making temporary repairs to electrical cords. If you use it for this purpose then you will need to replace the cord as soon as you realistically can. Also you may find electrical adhesive tape use for help when you need to install a booster for an antenna. It will help to protect any plugs that are situated outside from inclement weather.

Another type of adhesive tape that you should consider buying for your home and which many good hardware and DIY stores will have in stock is one for the carpet. A strip of this is placed between two pieces of carpet where they meet. But in order for the adhesive to stick to the carpets a specialist steam machine is required and it can also be used like duct tape as a way of keeping rugs in place.

Then it is worth your while purchase some cloth or gaffer tape as it is more commonly known. The name that most people know it by comes from the theatre and movie industry and people would go to the "gaffer" boss to get some tape when needed. In most cases this type of adhesive tape that you can purchase can be used for securing cables and other objects around the home.

Of course no home is really complete without having some form of sellotape or clear adhesive tape in the home. This as we all know comes in useful for doing a wide variety of jobs from taping two pieces of paper together or to seal a bag of crisps which has been opened. Plus of course we all use it when wrapping birthday gifts and other presents that we give to others. Some people often use it for sticking notes to different surfaces so that they have a reminder of something that they need to do or buy.

Make Duct Tape Glow!!!

Video Clips. Duration : 1.30 Mins.

Make Duct Tape Glow!!!
Just sticking together and then pulling apart two pieces of duct tape will cause them to produce a blue line of light in an effect called triboluminescence. Special thanks to Ashi58 for letting me use his footage, his channel can be seen here: www.youtube.com What's happening is that the action of pulling apart the glue causes charge separation in the two strips. The charges then attempt to recombine and collide with nearby molecules (of tape, glue, or air) exciting them and releasing light. Interestingly, in a vacuum there is no air to slow down the charges so they collide at full energy and release x-rays. This serves as the basis for the sticky-tape x-ray machine published in the journal Nature.

All goods or services are categorized within International Classes (IC hereafter). Goods run from classes IC 1-34, while Services are in IC 35-45. Let's take a closer look at one of these trademark classes - class 9.

Powermat - How Does the Powermat Wireless Charger Work?

So what is PowerMat? It is a small device that uses wireless charging to charge your most important gadgets like cellphones (including the iPhone and Blackberry), video games (including the Nintendo DS), and iPod without you having to connect them to a charger or plug them into the wall. The PowerMat itself is, of course, plugged into the wall and connected to mains electricity by a wire, but from then on everything is wireless. You drop your device onto the PowerMat and it gets charged wirelessly, without you having to do anything.

Powermat - How Does the Powermat Wireless Charger Work?

So how does PowerMat wireless charging work?

Powermat - How Does the Powermat Wireless Charger Work?

No URL

The technology behind PowerMat is known as 'electromagnetic induction' (or just 'magnetic induction'). Michael Faraday is generally credited with the discovery of the induction phenomenon in 1831 though others were working in the same field at the time.

This electromagnetic induction is officially defined as "the production of voltage across a conductor situated in a changing magnetic field or a conductor moving through a stationary magnetic field" but that does not mean very much to most people. A better way to put it is that it is a means to transfer electrical power using a shared magnetic field.

Consider this arrangement:

1. Put electrical power into a coil of wire

2. This will produce a magnetic field around the coil that affects any metal within the field (as demonstrated by Faraday)

3. Change the field quickly over time and an electric current will be generated in the metal

So what is happening when a PowerMat is charging is that it is generating rapidly changing magnetic fields above the mat; these are converted by receivers on any devices on the mat into electrical power, and so these devices get charged. The magnetic fields and electrical currents are, of course, very small and so they can work on handheld gadgets without being a health risk to humans.

The same technology is used in a huge number of other devices and systems including generators, motors, transformers, some cookers, induction welding, and so on. Perhaps to most people the best known example is in rechargeable electric toothbrushes, where they are familiar with dropping a toothbrush into a 'dock' daily to keep it charged. However they may be unaware that similar systems are also operating in electric guitar pickups, video tape players, and computer graphics tablets.

PowerMat is currently the best known example of a wireless charger but this technology is developing rapidly and soon we will see it in many other applications and products. The PowerMat company itself is planning to extend the technology and feature it in kitchen counters, walls, and other surfaces around the home. One day this technology may be used everywhere and be invisible, it will be so commonplace. Finally we will be freed of the endless tangle of chargers and wires around the home.

What is International Class 9 All About?

Electrical Tape

Trademark International Class: Class 9 (Electrical and Scientific Apparatus)

Each class has a short title heading that gives a snapshot of what that class is all about -- IC 9's short title is electrical and scientific apparatus. But, as with anything trademark, there's more to it than that.

Trademark International Class: Class 9 (Electrical and Scientific Apparatus)

No URL

This class encompasses nearly any tangible goods that are scientific, nautical, surveying, electric, photographic, cinematographer, optical, weighing, measuring, signaling, checking (supervision), life-saving and teaching apparatus and instruments; apparatus for recording, transmission or reproduction of sound or images; magnetic data carriers, recording discs; automatic vending machines and mechanisms for coin-operated apparatus; cash registers, calculating machines, data processing equipment and computers; fire-extinguishing apparatus.

PHEW! Let's break that down a bit. Here are some of the more often used descriptions for International Class 9:

Software and video games of all kinds including what used to be considered a service - providing online video games.

Video games, which also include the peripherals such as joysticks, players, interactive floor pads and interactive remote controls.

CDs, DVDs, audiocassettes, records, whether blank or filled with content, as well as the devices used to play them.

Computer peripherals such as mice, keyboards, printers, and monitors as well as virtually any good related to the telephone, the television or the camera.

The USPTO has 3145 accepted descriptions that fit into IC 9; check them out here.

What Else is in International Class 9?

Seems like with any of these trademark classes, there always seems to be the oddball item or two and IC 9 is no exception. Here are a few items living in IC 9 that seem to be a weird fit:

o sun glasses, eye glasses and pince-nez
o protective clothing
o dog whistles
o helmets

What's New for International Class 9?

The classification guide is constantly being updated with new goods or services. As the marketplace changes, the trademark office must adapt. Here are some of the 2009 listings for international class 9, good plus date added to the guide:

o Graduated rulers for office and stationery 25 Jun 09
o Hands free devices for mobile-phones 18 Jun 09
o Holders for magnetically encoded gift cards 02 Apr 09
o Life vests 26 Mar 09
o Articles of protective clothing for wear by motorcyclists for protection against accident or injury 5 Feb 09
o Digital music system that synchronizes digital music files stored on a home unit and a car unit 15 Jan 09

Most paper lanterns are ball shaped, and they come with a metal expander. A cord is needed and is often sold separately. Before buying a cord, it is helpful to measure the distance from your electrical outlet to where you want the lantern to hang. Measure up the wall and along the ceiling, and then add two feet for room of error. Common sizes of cords are ten and fifteen feet. If a longer cord is needed you may have to use an extension cord.

How to Set-Up a Hanging Paper Lantern

Setting up the expander is easy, but one must be careful while doing it. It is easy to rip the paper with the expander; if you rip the paper, your lamp is ruined. Paper lanterns are usually made with some type of wire that runs in a spiral through the paper, and they are usually collapsible, which allows them to be packaged and mailed flat. Since they are collapsible, the metal expanders are needed to prop them fully open. To do this, insert the expander in the top (usually the size of the holes in the lantern are different; the larger hole is the top) and hook the grooves at the bottom on to the edges of the hole at the bottom of the paper. Then, you should pull the paper up to the top of the expander, which should have grooves that hold the paper; the grooves should be placed exactly where they need to be and the placement should be obvious.

Next, you need to run the cord. Plug the cord into the wall, run it up the wall, and use hooks to hold the cord up on the ceiling. Tape can also be used, but use an appropriate kind of tape, such as duct tape, and use it in large quantities. Because tape can lose stickiness, we recommend using hooks. Run the cord along the ceiling and attach the lantern to the end of it. Be sure it looks how you want it.

Next, unplug the cord and screw in the light bulb. When screwing the bulb in, be sure the bulb is as in the middle of the lantern as possible; it should not touch the sides, as this can start a fire. CFC bulbs are recommended over incandescent because they produce little heat. Be sure not to exceed the maximum recommended wattage for the cord to reduce the risk of a fire. Once the bulb is screwed in, flip on the on-switch and your light should be working. If it does not, check the connection and make sure the bulb is properly screwed in.

Now you're ready to enjoy your paper lantern.

1. Look for an aquarium gravel cleaner with around 2 inches cylinder size. One with a flat end should be used. You can also buy this item at any pet store in your area.

2. Use an electrical tape to wrap the bottom of the cylinder until you have an around 1/8-inch ring. Let the tape extend a bit beyond the edge of the tube. This will later serve as the comfort ring of your home-made penis pump.

3. Cut several 1-inch long electrical tapes and place this around the ring you have created, placing one tip on the outside and the other tip on the inside. Overlap each tape above the previous one. This serves as a comfort ring so you don't get injured when you use your pump.

4. Place a vacuum on the other end of the tube to suck out air from the home-made penis enlarger pump.

Now you have your very own pump which you can use to get a feel of how a pump works!

Take note that there are several disadvantages when you choose to use the pump that you have created:

Disadvantages of a Home-Made Penis Pump

1. Because the pump does not have a pressure reader, you might be applying the wrong pressure.

2. Excessive pressure may cause blood vessels to burst.

3. Lack of pressure or loose edges will not let you get the desired effect.

4. Because aquarium tubes are very fragile, severe injury may result if the glass breaks.

If you do not have enough money to buy a real pump, consider natural penis exercises which are safer and cost-effective. Making a home-made penis pump is actually fun. But if you apply the wrong pressure, use the wrong equipment or break the material used, then you'll know that penis pumping is no fun at all.
